Marshall County Sheriff’s Report October 24th, 2016

On Friday October 21st Deputy Chris Greenfield went to Small Ln to attempt to serve an arrest warrant on Michael W. Jones 37, of Hardin. Upon arrival Deputy Greenfield observed the subject moving in the house but would not answer the door. Additional units arrived to assist and entry was attempted into the house. The subject tried to go out the back door and then observed a deputy standing there and went back inside and hid in a room. Jones was placed into custody on his warrant and received additional charges of Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree.

On Sunday October 23rd Deputy Josh Anderson was dispatched to Benton Birmingham Road in reference to a subject that possible violated an active Emergency Protective Order. Upon arrival Deputy Anderson spoke to the victim who stated that witnesses seen a Charles Wallace Sr. 49, of Benton, enter the property and retrieve something out of the garage and entered the residence. The EPO was verified through dispatch and that it had stated the Mr. Wallace remain within 500 ft of the property. Wallace was then located and arrested for Violation of a KY EPO/DVO.

For the week of October 17th through October 24th the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 13 Traffic Accidents, 3 Motorist Assists, 3 DUI’s, 14 Traffic Stops, 2 Reckless Driving reports, 29 Extra Patrols, 1 Animal Complaint, 9 Burglary/Theft reports, 8 Complaints, 5 Disturbances, 16 Domestic Disturbances, 5 EPO’s served, 12 Investigations, 3 Drug Investigations, 24 Have a Deputy Call, 7 Prisoner Transports, 2 Suspicious Persons, 10 Suspicious Vehicles, 25 Warrants Served, 26 Civils Served and 4 Welfare Checks contributing to 323 calls responded to.
