
A seam on the exterior of the jail wall was observed to have been pried on. A large quantity of tobacco was observed to be hidden within the seam. A joint investigation between the Marshall County Jail and the Marshall County Sheriff’s office began.
As a result of this investigation, it was determined that Mr. Tyler Griggs was the inmate involved from within the jail and was charged with promoting contraband.
Through further investigation and surveillance, it was determined that Mr. David Paul Brown was the outside suspect that was delivering the tobacco to Mr. Griggs. Brown was served an arrest warrant today for promoting contraband.
