On Thursday, April 21, 2022, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people during drug investigations in McCracken County and seized approximately five pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine, suspected Fentanyl pills, Marijuana, and Synthetic Marijuana. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in these investigations by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Hopkinsville Police Department, the Paducah Police Department, and the DEA.
On Thursday afternoon, detectives with the McCracken and Marshall County Sheriff’s Offices arrested 32-year-old Fabian Thomas and 21-year-old McKayla Emery, both of Mayfield, KY, on the parking lot of a gas station located at 7050 Benton Road in McCracken County after the couple delivered quantities of Methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl pills.
During the investigation, detectives seized approximately 155 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, Marijuana, Synthetic Marijuana, and money believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales. That investigation revealed that the couple were staying in a hotel in Marshall County, KY. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the couple’s room. During a search of the hotel detectives recovered more than two pounds of additional Crystal Methamphetamine and additional drugs.
Both Thomas and Emery were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Fabian Thomas has an extensive criminal history regarding illegal drugs with convictions for trafficking in Cocaine, trafficking in controlled substance within 1000 yards of school, three counts of trafficking Marijuana, and was on parole at the time of his arrest for possession of handgun by a convicted felon. Thomas was paroled from prison in late 2021.
Emery is currently on probation out of Graves County Circuit Court for receiving stolen property (firearm).
In a separate investigation, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Paducah man for Methamphetamine trafficking following the execution of a search warrant at a Paducah apartment.
On Thursday night, just after 9:00 pm, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office obtained information that 35-year-old Ronald McClure was in possession of a large amount of Crystal Methamphetamine. McClure was also wanted on outstanding parole violation warrant.
Detectives located and arrested McClure standing outside a residence in the 1200 block of South 9th Street. Detectives obtained a search warrant for a rental car and an apartment. During the search of the car and the apartment, detectives located and seized approximately 1,190 grams (2.62lbs) of Crystal Methamphetamine. Detectives also seized money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
McClure was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
McClure has an extensive criminal history involving drug trafficking. McClure has been convicted of trafficking in Cocaine four times and is currently out of bond at this time for trafficking in Methamphetamine from when he was arrested by deputies in December of 2021.
