Two Arrested Following Traffic Stop

On 10/26/2022 the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Paducah men following a traffic stop.

On Wednesday afternoon, Detectives and Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic infractions.  The vehicle was occupied by 33 year old Joshua F. Gaia of Paducah, KY and 58 year old Jay C. Clark of Paducah, KY.

Detectives were able to determine that Joshua Gaia had two active warrants for his arrest at the time of the traffic stop, both for Probation Violations.  The operator, Jay Clark, had a suspended license from a previous unrelated DUI as well as no insurance for the vehicle.

Detectives conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 25 grams of crystal methamphetamine, Xanax pills, dosages of Acid, digital scales, and other items of drug paraphernalia.

Both individuals were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Arrested: Joshua F. Gaia, 33, of Paducah, KY

Charges: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1^st Degree 1^st Offense (>or= 2GMS Methamphetamine)/ Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree Drug Unspecified/ Possession of a Controlled Substance 2^nd Degree Drug Unspecified/ Probation Violation Warant x2

Arrested: Jay C. Clark, 58, of Paducah, KY

Charges: Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1^st Offense/ Driving on DUI Suspended License 1^st Offense
