Benton man arrested on outstanding warrant from McCracken County

On Wednesday May 4^th Deputy Nathan Maxlow was on a traffic stop on Briensburg Tatumsville Road when he learned the passenger in the vehicle was confirmed to have an active warrant out of McCracken County. Upon search of the subject deputies located a used syringe and digital scales that had residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Joseph McClelland 19, of Benton, was placed under arrest for his warrant and then charged additionally for Possession of Controlled Substance 1^st Degree- Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
