A busy week for Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies led to response to 541 calls for service. According to information from Marshall County E-911, Deputies responded to the following calls for service as part of the 541:

On March 10th at approximately 8:22pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield observed a vehicle weaving on US 68 East. Deputy Greenfield initiated a traffic stop and investigated. Chadd D. Smith age 36 of Symsonia was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence ALC/Drugs/Etc. 08 3rd Offense. Smith was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center
On March 12th at approximately 9:56pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield responded to a Calvert City address to serve a paper. He was told that the person was not home but should be home soon. Deputy Greenfield was also given the vehicle description. Deputy Greenfield observed a vehicle matching the description and initiated a traffic stop. As a result of the investigation the driver , Savanah Adams age 23 of Calvert City was arrested for the following:
Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence ALC/Drugs/Etc .08 Aggravating Circumstances 1st Offense
Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License
Failure to Produce Insurance Card
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree
Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Poss
Promoting Contraband 2nd Degree
The contraband charge involved additional controlled substance being found on Adams person at the Marshall County Detention Center.

On March 9th at approximately 4:29pm, Deputy Steven Oakley was dispatched to a single vehicle injury crash on Interstate 24. According to his report, a vehicle driven by Janet L. Winge age 84 of Dexter was eastbound on 24. Winge went to change from the right hand lane to the left lane as a vehicle came up beside her. Winge jerked back into her lane of travel and over corrected. The vehicle left the roadway on the right hand side, overturned, and came to rest in the treeline.
On March 9th at approximately 11:08pm, Deputy Dennis Lewis was dispatched to US 641 North in reference to a vehicle off the road. As a result of the investigation, Christopher C. Martin age 51 of Benton was arrested and charged with DUI and Driving DUI Suspended License
