LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Monday, February 19, 2024, around 2:30am, a vehicle was stolen from a residence in Eddyville on Knob Street. The vehicle was driven to several residences in the South end of the county before it was involved in a severe collision on KY 903 just inside Caldwell County from the county line. The investigation conducted by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy Stacey Blackburn and Lyon County Sheriff Brent White resulted in the arrest of two juveniles for Theft by Unlawful Taking-Auto over $10,000. The juveniles, one male age 15 and one female age 16, were taken into custody after being medically cleared at the Caldwell County Medical Center. A third juvenile passenger was also treated and released from the same hospital, but is not facing criminal charges at this time. The stolen vehicle was a 2018 Ford SUV which is likely a total loss from the collision. This is the second stolen vehicle in a ten-day period involving the two juveniles. Both juveniles were ordered detained by a Lyon District Court Judge. The female was transported to the Boyd Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Ashland and the male was transported to the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
- On Monday, February 19, 2024, around 10am, Deputy Jason Young charged a 17-year-old with Possession of Marijuana. The child was released to the custody of a parent.
- On Monday, February 19, 2024, around 9:42pm, Deputy David Carroll located and arrested Christopher W. Crunican (23) on Chestnut Oak Road. He was arrested on a McCracken District Court warrant for Failure to Appear.
- On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, around 11:18pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a single vehicle collision on US 641 near New Bethel Church Road. The investigation revealed a 2004 Chevrolet medium duty truck was South bound on US 641 when the driver lost control after falling asleep. The vehicle left the right side of the roadway and overturned. The driver was transported to the Caldwell Medical Center by Lyon County EMS for non-incapacitating injuries. Chief Deputy Adams was assisted at the scene by KYTC Dept. of Highways, Eddyville Fire Department, and Kentucky State Police.
- On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, around 5:19pm, Deputy David Carroll arrested Terry J. Fiser (54) of Eddyville on a Complaint Warrant from Lyon District Court charging him with Theft by Unlawful Taking-over $500 and Burglary-3rd Degree. Fiser was arrested by Sheriff White previously on February 14, 2024 in an unrelated DUI event. Earlier the same date, Fiser is accused of theft and burglary by Eddyville Police Department Chief Jordan Parrish after he was captured on surveillance video accessing a boat dock while on Lake Barkley in his bass boat and stealing fishing tackle from the dock prior to the DUI arrest. A search warrant executed by the Eddyville Police Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the recovery of the stolen property at Fiser’s home on Wellsley Way.
- Between Wednesday, February 21st through Friday, February 23, 2024, deputies arrested the following offenders on bench warrants out of Lyon County:

- Ashley N. Rollins (30) of Clinton, TN – Failure to Appear – Lyon Circuit Court. Rollins was extradited from Tennessee back to Kentucky by the Sheriff’s Office. Rollins was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

- Chester L. Cissell (57) of Eddyville – Contempt of Court – Lyon District Court – Theft by Deception-including cold checks. Cissell was released on a $500 bond.
- On Friday, February 23, 2024, around 9:25pm, Deputy Michelle Kent answered a disturbance complaint at a Kuttawa restaurant. The investigation revealed a customer of the restaurant was seated at a booth and was exposing and touching his genitalia in view of patrons and staff. Deputy Kent located and identified the man as Harold A. Hale (54) of Kuttawa. He was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure-2nd Degree. Hale was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
