Drug Arrest across from Southern Pride Truck Stop

On March 3, 2024, at about 12:30am deputies responded to a call of check welfare on a vehicle sitting off the roadway on Benton Road across from Southern Pride Truck Stop.  The Vehicle was a 2021 Toyota Rav4 being driven by 25-year-old Destiny L Bloxton Shumaker from Lincoln Nebraska.  Upon initial investigation Shumaker was suspected of being under the influence of illegal narcotics.  There were items of narcotics and drug paraphernalia located in plain sight inside the vehicle.  Shumaker was found to be in possession of a white substance that tested positive for Cocaine.  Shumaker was arrested and lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail.
