Three Benton men were arrested and charged after police say they were allegedly stealing from vehicles parked at a local hotel.
According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports, deputies responded on Wednesday to the Quality Inn in Draffenville in reference to a theft from two trucks at the hotel. Police located and arrested three men staying at the hotel – Samuel Brackett, 23, Hunter Snelling, 21, and Alex Evans, 20, all of Benton – on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking over $500. Tools and other items reported taken from the vehicles were recovered at the scene and returned to their owners, according to MCSD statements.
The suspects were housed in the Marshall County Detention Center.
