On 06/02/2024 at approximately 11:45 A.M. Deputies with the McCracken county sheriff’s office responded to a location in Lone Oak to serve an outstanding arrest warrant for William Gregory.
Deputies arrived at 167 N Friendship. While pulling around to the rear of the house a deputy observed a male that looked like William Gregory look at him and start walking away between houses. The deputy followed and attempted to stop Gregory. Gregory ignored commands after the deputy identified himself and proceeded to run from the deputy and try to escape into an apartment at 177 N Friendship. The deputy was able to catch up to Gregory, follow him into the apartment, and take him into custody.
Gregory was arrested on his outstanding warrant. Deputies then were able to locate suspected methamphetamine in a pack of cigarettes Gregory had dropped while fleeing. Gregory was transported to McCracken county regional jail and lodged.
Gregory Charges:
- Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
- Fleeing or evading Police 2nd degree (ON FOOT).
