On March 4, 2025, at approximately 10:44 AM, a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to Baptist Hospital regarding a disturbance. Baptist Hospital security had contacted Paducah McCracken County 911 that there was a verbal disturbance. Paducah Police also responded initially.
During the investigation, it was discovered that a domestic assault had occurred on Geibe Road in McCracken County. The victim was seeking treatment related to that assault at Baptist Hospital. The victim stated to deputies that the previous night her husband, Tony Masing, had attempted to assault her with a frying pan and then a short time later submerged her head under water. She stated that Masing held her head underwater, obviously not allowing her to breathe.
Deputies arrested Masing, 68 years old, and transported him to McCracken County Jail. McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Paducah Police Department and Baptist Hospital Security.
