For the week of July 24-28 the Marshall County Court Security attended 16 court sessions, moved 46 inmates to and from court, checked 2,548 people into the Judicial Building, transported 10 inmates out of the county, transported two juveniles, one mental health transport and inspected 52 vehicles.
For the week of July 24-28 the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 19 Traffic Accidents, 19 Traffic Stops, nine Motorist Assists, one Reckless Driver, four Hit and Runs, 40 requests for extra patrol, one Animal Complaint, seven Burglary/Theft reports, three Disturbances, four Domestic Disturbances, one Alcohol Intoxication, one Drug Investigation, 18 Investigations, four Suspicious Persons, 10 Suspicious Vehicles, 19 Have a Deputy Call, 10 Warrants attempted, 16 Civils attempted and nine Welfare Checks contributing to 305 calls responded to.
On Saturday July 29 Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to Moors Resort in reference to a belligerent guest. The caller had stated that the subject had became belligerent after being denied his request for a refund. Deputy Greenfield went to the cabin where the subject was staying and found the subject on his deck drinking. The subject was manifestly under the influence of alcohol at the time. Nathaniel J. Miller 39, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
On Friday July 28 Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to a collision on Buckhorn Bay Rd. Upon arrival Deputy Greenfield spoke to the driver who stated that she had swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The field sobriety test was given to where there were many indicators of being under the influence. The subject stated to Greenfield that he should just take her to jail that she had to much that day. Tamara K. Thomas 46, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
