Marshall County Sheriff’s Report July 5th, 2016

On Friday July 1st Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to Starks Cemetery Road in reference to a medical emergency. Upon arrival Deputy Greenfield observed a male subject outside who appeared to be manifestly under the influence and smelled strongly of alcohol. Upon contact with the subject it was confirmed with dispatch that Austin Vick 38, of Hardin, had an active felony warrant out of Marshall County. Vick was then placed under arrest for his warrant and Deputy Greenfield also charged Vick with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.

On Sunday July 3rd Deputy Chris Greenfield received a call from dispatch in reference to an unknown subject sleeping on their porch on Curd Road. Upon arrival, Deputy Greenfield found the male subject sleeping in a chair on the front porch. The subject smelled strongly of alcohol and was unsure on how he got to the house. Brian Jones 44, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.

For the week of June 27th through July 5th the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 23 Traffic Accidents, 13 Motorist Assists, 14 Burglary/Theft reports, 9 Alarm calls, 6 Disturbances, 8 Investigations, 7 Domestic Disturbances, 5 EPO’s served, 142 Extra Patrols, 26 Warrants attempted, 12 Civils attempted, 45 Have a Deputy Call, 14 Suspicious Person reports, 6 Suspicious Vehicles and 27 Traffic Stops contributing to a call volume of 550 calls responded to.

For the Week of June 27th through July 1st the Marshall County Court Security attended 8 court sessions, moved 47 inmates to and from court, 2410 checked into the Judicial Building, 14 out of county transports, 3 Mental Health transports and 48 vehicle inspections completed.
