KSP Works Injury Collision in Calloway

Murray, KY (June 3, 2019) The Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office asking KSP to work an injury collision at approximately 1:04 p.m. on June 3, 2019.

Preliminary investigation shows Walter C. Stalls, 70 of Murray, KY driving a Ford pick-up truck, traveling north on Radio Road. Tabitha D. Ibarra, 34 of Paris, TN., was driving a GMC SUV east on Roosevelt Road. Ibarra had just stopped at the intersection and started to cross Radio Road when she was struck in the passenger side of her vehicle, by Stalls. Ibarra, and her passenger, Luna Ibarra, 6 of Paris, TN., were transported to Murray Calloway County Hospital for their injuries. The Ibarra’s were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Stalls was transported to Murray Calloway County Hospital, and later airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN for his Injuries. Stalls was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

KSP Collision Re-Constructionist Detective Michael Robichaud and Trooper Aaron Jestes are continuing their investigation. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Murray Calloway Co. EMS, Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Calloway County Fire-Rescue Department.
