Around 1:15 A.M on Wednesday 7/17/19, Officer Hampton responded to the area of 1102 Main Street on a possible vandalism complaint. He was checking the area and heard glass breaking in the area of Antiques Et Cetera. He observed two individuals near the stairs of the building. He made contact with Mr. Jack Fell II and Mr. Ryan Combs (both of Benton). Mr. Combs admitted that both had been on the roof of the National Store and were throwing bricks from the roof. After investigation both were arrested and charged with the following:
Jack Fell II- Alcohol Intoxication 1st/2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
Ryan Combs- Alcohol Intoxication 1st/2nd Offense and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
There was a substancial amount of damage caused to Peel & Holland and damage was also caused to State Farm, The National Store, and the Church of Christ building.
The investigation is continuing by Officer Hampton. Deputy Howell from Marshall County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
