Benton Woman Life-flighted following Wednesday night collision.
A Benton woman was injured Wednesday night after she was struck by a vehicle shortly after 11:00 pm while walking down US Highway 68 West.
Bill Stacey, 60, of Calvert City, was traveling westbound when he observed Shila Burton, 19, of Benton, walking in the roadway. Stacey tried to swerve around Burton but was unsuccessful. Burton was life-flighted to SKyline medical center in Nashville, TN.
