One Charged after Collision in Livingston County

Grand Rivers, KY. (April 14, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, Troopers with the Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle injury collision at the 31 mile marker westbound on Interstate 24. Initial investigation shows Cynthia M. Dillow, 63 of Marion, Illinois, was traveling westbound, operating a 2016 Kia Soul , when she struck the rear end of a 2015 Kenworth tractor trailer driven by a Timothy Jackson, 54 of Sullivan, Missouri. Dillow complained of chest pains as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

Jackson was wearing a seat belt and was not injured during the collision. Dillow was cited and released for Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc. 1st Offense, two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree – Drug Unspecified, Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess, and Failure to Wear Seat belt.

The collision is being investigated by Trooper Derral Redwine. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Great Lakes Fire Department and Livingston County EMS.
