On October 15th at 5:00pm, Deputy Lofton Rowley and Detective William Strader were notified of a stolen tractor trailer on US 641. The truck had been reported stolen to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office a short time before. The officers observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near the Benton exit on I-69. Troynette Charlene Clayton of Houston, TX was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or More. Deputy Rowley also served Clayton with a Calloway County complaint warrant charging her with Theft By Unlawful Taking Auto.
On October 15th, Deputy Brandon Little served a bond revocation, arresting David Dewayne Chadwell of Benton.

KSP Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying two Suspects
Hickory, KY (October 23, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield is investigating the use of a stolen credit card. The two suspects used a stolen credit card on October 15, 2018 at a Wal-Mart and Big Lots in Paducah, KY. KSP obtained a surveillance photo of the couple and is asking the public to help identify the suspects.

KSP Charges Graves Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses
SYMSONIA, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2018) — On October 23, 2018, at approximately 8:32 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Austin Freeman, 23, on charges related to prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/ peace officer regarding sex offense.
Freeman was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating and exchanging photographs and videos with juveniles online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Symsonia on October 23, 2018. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Freeman is currently charged with two counts of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/ peace officer regarding sex offense. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. He was lodged in the Graves County Detention Center.
KSP Makes Drug Arrest after Pursuit in Marshall County
Calvert City, KY (October 24, 2018) – Kentucky State Police Trooper Donald Bowman was on routine patrol in Marshall County on Interstate 69, when he attempted to stop a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle for a speeding violation. The operator of the motorcycle, Roy N. Guill, 37 of Carrsville, KY, speed up and attempted to elude Trooper Bowman. Guill was traveling westbound, and exited onto Interstate 24, traveling to US 62 and stopping on Lone Valley Road. Guill was taken into custody without incident and lodged into the Marshall County Jail. Guill was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine, Speeding, Reckless Driving, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (motor Vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree Police Officer, No motorcycle Operators license, failure to comply with the helmet law over 21 years of age, failure to produce Insurance card, Possession of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
KSP Offers Accelerated Training Academy for Current Law Enforcement Officers
FRANKFORT, Ky. (October 25, 2018) – Kentucky State Police has announced they are accepting applications for a Law Enforcement Accelerated Program (LEAP) class designed for current law enforcement officers aspiring to become state police troopers.
A unique aspect of this LEAP class is that graduates will be guaranteed to work in their home post area upon completion of academy training. KSP’s fifth LEAP Class is scheduled to begin August of 2019 and will include a 12-week training academy.
Applicants must have two (2) years of service in Kentucky, completed their DOCJT training and graduated no later than May 1, 2017.
All application materials must be completed and returned to the KSP Recruitment Branch by November 16, 2018. Applications must include a recommendation from a state police trooper and a KSP post commander.
Kentucky State Police Investigating Burglaries and Recovers Stolen Car
Eddyville, KY (November 3, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call at approximately 04:39 a.m. about some storage units being broken into at Kings Mini Storage in Eddyville, KY. KSP arrived on scene and found several storage units broken into. A 2003 Hyundai Tiburon was also located at the scene. It was discovered that the car had been reported stolen out of Marshall County approximately three months ago. The original color of the car is white, but it has been sprayed painted silver and the hood has been painted black and silver.

KSP Investigating Hoax Call in Trigg County
Cadiz, KY (November 5, 2018) – Trigg County dispatch center received a call just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 4th about a possibly shooting at a residence on Jefferson Street. The caller indicated someone was shot and others were still in the residence.
Cadiz Police Office requested KSP to handle the call based of the information called in. A portion of Jefferson Street was closed off, while the investigation began. KSP was able to clear the residence and did not find any signs of a shooting nor anyone being injured.
KSP is continuing the investigation into the call. KSP was assisted on the scene with the Cadiz Police Office, Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, Trigg County EMS, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Thomas Franklin Overfield, 48, of 566 Elder Street, Calvert City was arrested on October 24, 2018 on a McCracken County Warrant for failure to appear.
David Lee Vandenboom, 37, of 7711 641 North, Calvert City was arrested on October 28, 2018 on a Trigg County Warrant for probation violation (for felony offense). He was also served a Caldwell County Warrant for failure
to appear, a Jefferson County Warrant for failure to appear, a McCracken County Warrant for failure to appear, and a McCracken County Warrant for probation violation (for misdemeanor offense). He was also charged with
operating on a suspended or revoked operators license and reckless driving.
Chase Nathaniel Hale, 18, of 604 Olive Street, Benton was charged on October 28, 2018 with 2 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor 3rd degree.
Hannah L. Walker, 19, of 881 East 6th Avenue, Apt. #6, Calvert City was arrested on October 29, 2018 on a McCracken County Warrant for failure to appear.

On Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018, detectives with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested a Marshall County resident with several drug charges.
Kentucky Probation and Parole requested assistance at the residence of Zachary Bunyan located at 59 Crooked Oak Loop Benton, Ky. 42025. Captain Matt Hilbrecht and Detective Nathan Maxlow with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence to assist Kentucky Probation and Parole officers. Detectives… located over 24 grams of methamphetamine, over 21 grams of marijuana, digital scales and a loaded 9mm handgun. Methamphetamine seized has a street value of more than $2400.00. Bunyan, 25 years old, has two previous convictions for trafficking in methamphetamine. Zachary Bunyan was charged with the following charges: trafficking controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense more than 2 grams of meth, trafficking marijuana less than 8 ounces, possession of a handgun by convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On October 26th, Captain Matt Hilbrecht served a complaint warrant on Courtney D. Lovett of Benton. The charge was Assault 4th Degree.
On October 26th, Deputy Cory Curtner located David M. Darnell age 18 of Paducah at a residence on Fairview Street on an unrelated investigation. Deputy Curtner discovered that Darnell was wanted on two bench warrants in McCracken County.A bag of marijuana found also resulted in an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana.
On October 26th, Deputy Lofton Rowley responded to Moors Camp Highway in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. The investigation resulted in the driver, Lawrence Norbert Rolnicki of Benton, being charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc .08 1st Offense. As Rolnicki was transported to the hospital by EMS, he was cited to appear in mid November on the charge.
On October 26th, Captain Matt Hilbrecht served a bench warrant for Probation Violation on David G. Stokes of Murray.
On October 26th at 7:40pm, Deputy Cory Curtner was checking suspicious activity at a storage building facility when he made contact with Brandon Kellet of Benton. Investigation revealed that Kellet was wanted on an indictment warrant out of McCracken County. The indictment charge was Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd or Subsequent Offense Methamphetamine.
On October 28th, Deputy Barry Howell responded to Whispering Hills Lane in reference to a disturbance. As a result of the ensuing investigation, Dakota A. McLeod of Benton was arrested and charged with Assault 4th Degree.
On October 28th, Sergeant Tim Reynolds and Deputy Nick Spears responded to Walnut Grove Road on an investigation. As a result, Raymond S. Ruch of Benton was arrested and charged with Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
On October 28th, Deputy Barry Howell served a Marshall District Bench Warrant on Ben T. Maxwell of Wingo, KY. Maxwell turned himself in.
On October 28th, Deputy Nick Spears responded to a residence on Falcon Circle in reference to an assault. The investigation into what turned out to be a stabbing, resulted in the arrest of Jordan M. Zamora of Benton. Zamora was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
October 29th, Deputy Luke Rudd completed a theft investigation by charging Zachary T. Bunyan of Benton with Theft By Unlawful Taking $500 or More. Bunyan is alleged to have a taken a brush guard from a vehicle. When charged Bunyan was already in the Marshall County Detention Center on an unrelated charge.
On October 29th, Sergeant Jason Lane and Deputy Barry Howell picked up James Chris Dean of Benton on multiple warrants. These included: Flagrant Non Support Complaint Warrant Pulaski County, Violation of Probation by Absconding Bench Warrant out of McCracken County – Original Charge Theft By Deception, Violation of Probation By Absconding Bench Warrant out of McCracken County Original Charges – Theft By Deception and Contempt of Court. Bench Warrant – Failure to Appear McCracken County. Bench Warrant – Violation of Probation by Absconding McCracken County Original Charges Theft by Deception X 3. Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation by Absconding McCracken County Original Charges Theft By Deception X 3 and Contempt of Court X3.
On October 29th at 2:55am, Sergeant Tim Reynolds assisted a Kentucky State Police Trooper on a traffic stop. During this stop, Sergeant Reynolds discovered that Toto G. Aguilar of Covington, KY was wanted out of Kenton County for Failure to Appear. Sergeant Reynolds served the Bench Warrant.
On October 30th Captain Matt Hilbrecht served a Kentucky Parole Board Parole Violation Warrant for Absconding Parole Supervision on Joshua Ottis Hedgepath of Sedalia, KY. The original charges were Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 2nd or Greater Offense, Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess 2nd or Greater Offense, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ( 2 Counts ), and Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument 2nd Degree out of Crittenden County.
On November 2nd at 10:12am, Detective William Strader served a Bench Warrant from McCracken County for Norval White of Murray. Detective Strader also served White a Failure to Appear Bench Warrant from Calloway County for Failure to Appear.
On November 2nd, Captain Matt Hilbrecht served an Indictment Warrant from Livingston County charging Adam Russell Skinner of Calvert City with Burglary 3rd Degree.
On November 3rd at 2:55am, Deputy Nick Spears responded to the area of Aurora Highway and Old Olive Road in reference to a vehicle broken down. Upon arrival, Deputy Spears conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of the man in the vehicle. Jason L. Stroud of Springfield, MO. Stroud was charged with the following: Failure of Non Owner Operator To Maintain Insurance.

The warrant served was a complaint warrant on an original investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. Childress was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Speeding 26 MPH or Greater, Disregarding Stop Sign, and Failure to or Improper Signal.
On November 3rd, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to the 800 block of Harvey Road in reference to a single vehicle crash. The crash knocked down some power lines leaving many without power. After the investigation, the driver, Jeffery Barrett of Benton was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc Aggravating Circumstances, Leaving the Scene of an Accident Failure to render Aid or Assistance, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Deputy Greenfield was assisted by Deputy Lofton Rowley.
On November 4th at 12:21pm, Deputy Luke Rudd served a Livingston County Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court Failure to Comply with Court Orders. The warrant was served on Derek S. Russell of Tiline, KY. The original charge was Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition $500 or More.
On November 4th, Deputy Luke Rudd served a Davies County Bench Warrant on Brian G. Ritter of Bowling Green, KY.
On November 4th, Deputy Luke Rudd served a multitude of warrants on Howard Langston of Paducah. The first warrant was a Muhlenberg District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear or Pay on the original 11 charges of Theft By Deception, the second warrant was another Muhlenberg County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on 2 Counts of Theft By Deception. The third warrant was Muhlenberg County District Bench Warrant on 44 original counts of Theft By Deception. The fourth warrant was for Failure to Appear or Pay from Muhlenberg County District Court. The original charge was Theft by Deception.

On November 4th, Deputy Luke Rudd served a Shelby County Indictment Warrant on Vondel Richards of Nicholasville, KY the charge was Assault 2nd Degree.
On November 5th, Deputy Luke Rudd responded to a report of a suspicious person on Purchase Parkway. Deputy Rudd found the man in Mike Miller Park. Further investigation revealed that the man was wanted in Louisville. Timothy R. Frasure of Louisville was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear on two counts of Probation Violation and one count of Violation of KY EPO. Deputy Rudd was assisted by Deputy Jason Ivey and Detective Jeff Daniel.
On November 5th Deputy Luke Rudd served a Jefferson District Bench Warrant on Derek S. Hooper of Lawrenceburg, KY. The warrant was for Failure to Appear on original charges of Speeding 25mph or Over, Following Another Vehicle Too Closely, and Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance. A second warrant was found on Hooper out of Madison County. This warrant was a complaint warrant on an original case by Richmond Police Department on a charge of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.
KSP Arrests Trimble Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses
BEDFORD, Ky. (November 7, 2018) — On November 2, 2018, the Trimble County Grand Jury indicted Ricky A. Hutchason, 61, on charges related to distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
Hutchason was served and arrested this date as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing files of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Bedford on September 6, 2018. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Hutchason is currently charged with 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor 1st offense and 10 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor 1st offense. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. He was lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center.
KSP Arrests Mayfield Man for Multiple Felonies
Hickory, KY (November 9, 2018) – On Thursday, November 8th, The Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a complaint from a resource officer at Graves County High School. School officials had learned of a possible inappropriate relationship between a 16-year-old student and an adult. After an investigation, David S. Darnell, 28 of Mayfield, KY was arrested and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor U/18 (Class C Felony), Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st degree-illegal sex act U/18 (Class C Felony), and Possess / View Matter Portray Sexual Performance by a Minor (Class D Felony).

KSP Works Double Fatality Collision in Trigg County
Cadiz, KY (November 11, 2018) – On Saturday November 10, 2018 at approximately 5:11 p.m. the Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call from the Trigg County dispatch requesting KSP to investigate a fatal collision. The collision occurred on US 68/80 near Commerce Street in Cadiz.
Preliminary investigation shows that Roger L. Marlow, 62 of Cadiz, was traveling west on US 68/80. Marlow was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, and for an unknown reason left the roadway and crossed the median into the east bound lanes. Marlow struck a 2012 Toyota Rav4, being driven by Patrick D. Maillet, 31 of Clarksville, TN. Marlow was pronounced deceased at the scene by Trigg County Coroner. Maillet transported to the Trigg County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Trooper Aaron Acree is continuing his investigation. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Trigg County Coroner’s Office. On November 7th, Deputy Steven Oakley was dispatched to Timber Bend Road in reference to a vehicle sitting in the road with a male sleeping in it. Deputy Oakley’s investigation resulted in the arrest of the man, Jacob R. Williams of Eddyville. Williams was charged with Driving on DUI Suspended License, Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc .08 -2nd Offense, No Registration Plates, and No Registration Receipt.
On November 8th, Sergeant Tim Reynolds served an Indictment Warrant on Robert K. Lima of Murray. The charges were Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or More and Persistent Felony Offender II. Lima was served a second warrant for Calloway County. This was an indictment warrant for Flagrant Non Support.
On November 8th, Deputy Dennis Lewis served a Failure to Appear Bench Warrant on Adam M. Cloe of Wingo, KY. Cloe turned himself in.
On November 8th, Deputy Steven Oakley was on French Drive serving civil papers. While doing so he observed items of contraband that resulted in the arrest of the two women at the residence. Emily Peck of Benton was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), and Tampering With Physical Evidence, Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Poss. Heidi A. Wilson of Lexington was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Prescription / Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st Offense, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.
On November 8th a joint investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky Probation and Parole resulted in the arrest of two. Deputy Chris Greenfield responded to assist Officers Wolford and Sorrells of Probation and Parole at a residence on Bill Hammel Lane. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Brittany N. May of Gilbertsville on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess. Christina Star Byrn of Paducah was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ( Methamphetamine ), Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess.
On November 9th, Deputy Cory Curtner served a warrant on Mariah D. Reed of Benton. The warrant charges Reed with Violation of Conditions of Release.
On November 10th, Deputy Chris Greenfield served Adam Fields of Benton a Boone County Failure to Appear Warrant.
On November 10th, Deputy Luke Rudd served a complaint warrant on Jeremy Smith of Benton. The warrant stemmed from an investigation by Benton Police Captain Stephen Sanderson. The investigation revealed threats had been made by Smith to the Department of Community Based Services and their employees. Smith was charged with Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process.
On November 11th, Deputy Nick Spears investigated another deer caused crash on Purchase Parkway / I 69 at the 51 Mile Marker. Austin Willoughby of Jeffersonville, KY was northbound when a deer ran into his path. He swerved to miss the deer and that started his trailer fishtailing. The truck ran off of the roadway into the median and struck a signpost and concrete barrier. There were slight injuries but all refused medical transport. Please be aware that deer on moving with the current temperatures and hunting season.
On November 13th, Deputy Steven Oakley was dispatched to Wadesboro Road North in reference to a woman sitting on the side of the road with no jacket or shoes. Upon arrival he observed that the woman was irate and not making any sense. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the woman, Stacy A. Evans of Paducah. She was charged with Tampering With Physical Evidence and Illegal Possession of Legend Drug.
On November 13th 8:08am, Deputy Jason Ivey responded to Fairdealing to investigate an injury crash. Donnie Siress of Benton was reported to have been travelling West on US 68 when he swerved to miss a deer. The Siress vehicle struck a culvert and overturned. Siress was transported by Marshall County EMS to Lourdes Hospital for his injuries.
Cram the Cruiser Nov. 26-Dec. 1
The second annual “Cram the Cruiser” event begins today, November 26, through December 1 in Calvert City. A cruiser provided by the Calvert City Police will be set up at 96th East 5th Avenue in Calvert City. The community is asked to bring toys, coats and non-perishable food items. Everything collected will be donated to local families in need. For more information call 270-395-0004.
Calvert City Police Arrest Report
Thomas Franklin Overfield, 48, of 566 Elder Street, Calvert City was arrested on November 23, 2018 on a McCracken County Warrant for failure to appear.
Kody Allen Charlton, 28, of 717 Hickory Street, Calvert City was arrested on November 24, 2018 on a Marshall County Indictment Warrant for sexual abuse 1st degree, victim under 12 years of age.

On November 13th, Deputy Cory Curtner served a bond revocation on Phillip Williams of Benton.
On November 13th, Deputy Brandon Little served a warrant on Lisa M. Peake of Dexter, KY on charges of Burglary 2nd Degree and TBUT or Disp From Building $500 or More
On November 14th at approximately 12:11am, Sergeant Tim Reynolds and Deputy Dennis Lewis responded to Beal Road in reference to a male running down Beal Road screaming. Upon arrival Deputies found the subject inside a home. It was apparent that the man had broken into the house and was laying in a bed unconscious. The man did not cooperate so he was arrested and booked without a name until Deputy Jailers identified him this morning. Larry M. Edwards of Benton was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, and Disorderly Conduct. Captain Matt Hilbrecht served Edwards a warrant this morning after he was identified. The Marshall District Complaint warrant was issued after an investigation by Benton PD into an investigation into vandalism to a vehicle in Wal-Mart parking lot.
On November 15th, Deputy Steven Oakley investigated an injury crash on Moors Camp Highway. The crash occurred at Moors Camp Highways intersection with itself ( Where the loop comes back into Moors Camp Highway ). An ATV operated by Tristan Reilley of Gilbertsville pulled on Moors Camp Highway. A vehicle operated by Christopher Downing of Gilbertsville was unable to stop and struck the ATV. Reilley was transported by EMS to Western Baptist Hospital.
On November 15th, Deputy Brandon Little served Kenneth J. Bean of Benton a warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess, and Possession of Marijuana
On November 16th, Captain Matt Hilbrecht arrested a Fugitive From Justice. According to his citation, Earl Anthony Cathey of Hardin turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office due to a Michigan warrant for failing to pay child support.
On November 19th, Sergeant Jason Lane served an Indictment Warrant from the Marshall Circuit Court on Terry L. Rudd of Calvert City. The charges were Sexual Abuse 1st Degree Victim U/12 Years of Age and Persistent Felony Offender II. Sergeant Lane was assisted by Deputy Lofton Rowley.
On November 21st, Captain Matt Hilbrecht served a bond revocation on Ildefonso Ruben Arriola of Benton.
On November 23rd, Deputy Chris Greenfield responded to a disturbance on Village Road. As a result of the ensuing investigation John Richard Kimberlin of Benton was arrested and charged with Assault 4th Degree. Deputy Greenfield was assisted by Deputy Cory Curtner.
On November 24th, Deputy Barry Howell served an Indictment Warrant on David Freeman of Murray. The charges on the Marshall Circuit warrant were for Burglary 2nd Degree, Menacing, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Alcohol Intoxication in a Pubic Place, and Resisting Arrest.
On November 24th, Deputy Luke Rudd served a McCracken County Bench Warrant and a Marshall County Bench Warrant on James Roedel of Gilbertsville. The arrest was made at the Sledd Creek Boat Ramp while Deputy Rudd was investigating a trash dumping complaint.

KSP Conducting Homicide Investigation in Trigg County
Gracey, KY (November 29, 2018)- The Kentucky State Police received a call from the Trigg County Dispatch about a deceased person off Buffalo road at approximately 12:53 P.M on November 28, 2018. KSP Detectives responded to the scene and started an investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed foul play. An autopsy was performed today at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. The preliminary autopsy results show that Keith “Joey” Hayes Jr, 35 of Hopkinsville, KY died from multiple gunshot wounds. Hayes had been reported missing since Tuesday, November 27 2018 from Christian County. Through the investigation, KSP feels this is an isolated incident and not a random act of violence.
The investigation continues by KSP Detective Cory Hamby. KSP was assisted on scene by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County EMS, and Trigg County Coroner’s Office.
