The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office has received many complaints about ATV use in the area of Hardin. As a result we will be instituting patrols by ATV in this area. We, along with Mayor Scott and the city of Hardin, would like to hold a public meeting before that happens to hear from both sides of the issue. The meeting will take place on February 27th at 6:00pm at the Community Building in Hardin. If you are a land owner with ATV issues or someone that rides in the area and would like to voice your concerns, we would like to meet with you. If there are any changes in scheduled time or location, we will update this announcement.
On January 30th at approximately 12:11pm, Detective Nathan Maxlow charged Allan M. Stewart with Promoting Contraband 1st Degree. An investigation by he and Chief Deputy Jailer Shawn Goard identified that Stewart, an inmate at Marshall County Detention Center, was in possession of pills while in the jail. Goard located several Hydrocodone pills on Stewart’s person. Stewart remains lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
