NEWS RELEASE

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (August 10, 2024) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 is seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect who fled from the scene of an assault at Twin Lakes Campground in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL).

KSP Post 1 dispatch received a call just before 7:00pm CT reporting an assault that had occurred. A female victim sustained minor injury to her head. A male suspect, identified as Nicopolis English, 45 years old of Paducah, KY, fled from the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.

Nicopolis English has not been apprehended at this time. He is described as a black male approximately 5′ 10″ tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He fled the scene on foot in the direction of Grand Rivers. English does have previous convictions for assault and assault related charges.
